Music at Grace

Musical worship occurs during the second service at Grace Church and is based on Episcopal traditions with a focus on congregational singing. This corporate music, in the form of hymns and service music, is geared to the specific liturgy and church season. Supporting this, the church has a good Moller pipe organ and a Bechstein grand piano.

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir is comprised of adults and youth who volunteer to sing September through May at services twice a month, as well as for festival services.  There is no audition process — all who are willing are welcome to come and share fellowship and “make a joyful noise”! During the choir year, rehearsals are weekly and last 90 minutes. Anyone wishing to participate should speak with the Choir Director.

Musical Offerings

When the choir is not scheduled to sing, instrumental and vocal musical offerings are provided by a variety of parishioners and guests. Offerings have included violinists, pianists, guitarists, flutists, and vocal soloists and ensembles. Anyone wishing to provide a musical offering should speak with the Director of Music, who schedules them. We are always looking for persons willing to share their talents!
